Journal History
1. Journal of Islamic Education Research is published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher's Training (FTIK) of the State Institute for Islamic Studies of Jember (Institut Agama Islam Negeri Jember – IAIN Jember) and was first published in December 2019.
2. Online ISSN (2716-1005) and Print ISSN (2716-0998) were issued by Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (the Indonesian Institute of Sciences) based on Decree Number: SK No. 0005.27160998/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020.01 and SK No. 0005.27161005/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020.01 on January 24, 2020. Therefore, in 2019, JIER only published one issue.
3. Since 2020, JIER has consistently published two issues per year, in June and December.
4. Since Volume 3 Number 1 (2022), DOI has been assigned to every published article.
5. Since Volume 3 Number 1 (2022), the journal template has been fully in English. This aims to help global readers access insights from JIER and represents a strategic step to reach a wider international audience.
6. Since Volume 5 Number 1 (2024), citations and references have followed the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition style.
7. Since Volume 5 (2024), the publication frequency has increased to three issues per year: April, August, and December.
8. Since Volume 6 (2025), the publication frequency has increased to four issues per year: March, June, September, and December.
9. Since Volume 1 Number 1 (2025), JIER has been accredited at SINTA 3 level based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Number 296/C/C3/KPT/2026 dated April 7, 2026.
