Focus and Scope
Journal of Islamic Education Research publishes scholarly works that examine the integration of local wisdom, Islamic intellectual traditions, and global educational discourse in contemporary Islamic education. The journal specifically focuses on three distinctive areas: (1) comparative studies of locally grounded Islamic educational practices in pesantren and madrasah across socio-cultural contexts; (2) Islamic intellectual traditions examined in dialogue with global educational theories and ethical frameworks; and (3) Islamic education’s engagement with international debates on religious inclusivity and multiculturalism in diverse societies.
